Not sure that viscosity would have much bearing on the operation of a LRS.

Exact resistance is probably not possible as temperature affects the conductivity of the electrolyte, minor variations in electrode position/erosion will also affect resistance.

If the OP is talking about the resistance/conductivity of the electrolyte, then meters are available for that.

If talking about the resistance of the starter, that would depend on the position of the electrodes at the time of measurement (probably at start position where the electrodes may or may not be fully withdrawn), and could most likely be done with a good ohmmeter.

I would expect that the manufacturer of the starter could supply the required information.

I'm sure it doesn't.

I may be stupid but I do not understand why you give an address for viscosity if you are SURE it does not matter?

As answer may I suggest following approach:

You need a non conductive pipe which you fill with your liquid and close with 2 conductive plugs, you measure the resistance between the 2 plugs and apply the equation R=ρ*L/A where L is the distance between the plugs, A is the tube section area and ρ the fluid resistivity.

When you know "ρ" you can compute all other geometries resistances applying same equation. You should take into consideration that the electric field is as section larger than the geometric area of end electrodes so that your computation based on electrodes areas will lead to resistance values bigger than real.

We need a lot more information, like what type motor and or equipment your trying to start? Have you read the equipment manual? With out more information, your guess is good as anybody else's

If you measure the current through the liquid resistor and measure the voltage across it while the motor is starting then you will get your exact answer.

Why do you need to know? Do you have a problem that needs resolving or is this academic?
