Placebos Are Becoming More Effective

Posted August 26, 2009 8:07 AM

All those $billions in drug advertising are paying off.

Or we're just getting stupider.

Or both!

No it's that scientific studies have proven the placebo effect and the companies have realised that they can market the same pill across their entire range of products (which saves money as you only need one production line). note that this statement is a bit of an exaggeration .

Rather than branding a placebo sugar pill I say re-brand Viagra and add 'erectile function' as a side effect. Now THATS marketing.

Those placebos are great...the big orange ones are best.
They even work as a contraceptive
...put one in your shoe and it makes you limp.

Do cats wear shoes?

Seagoon: "Why is that tiger wearing brown boots?"

Eccles: "Because his black ones are at the menders!"

Seagoon: "Why is that tiger wearing boots?"

Eccles: "Ooooor, it's lucky."

Seagon: "Why?"

Eccles: "Well, what tiger do you know that's got two pairs of boots?"

With apologies to the late Spike Milligan, and The Goon Show, BBC radio comedy.
