Swiss DNA Bank Saves your Digital Data and DNA

Posted September 04, 2009 10:26 AM

From Newlaunches.com:

Generations come and generations go. We know not what lies waiting for our future generation. So we have something called DNA that can get the dead to life, in a way. We saw what happened in Jurassic Park. So it may be to us as it was with dinosaurs. Hence, since it is not ethically correct to dig out the bones of the dead for DNA, I would like to keep my A,T,G and C safe somewhere, where it could be ethically retrieved. Thankfully, there's the Swiss DNA bank that actually saves your DNA for, I don't know what (grins evilly). The Swiss DNA Bank also saves your digital information so that your relatives can use it after you're gone away. This means that your passwords won't die away with you. Make sure that you don,t have too many porn site logins saved there. What will your great-grandkids think? The charges are $199 for 1 GB data, $598 for 4 GB.

Thank you, but no.

Having my DNA clattering about in the future is highly unlikely to be of use to anyone. And even though a reconstituted "me" wouldn't really be me, it's close enough that it gives me the willies. I choose to one day quietly finish the current run of my one-man show and get out of town before the audience knows they've been duped.

Right. Unless they can transfer consciousness, what's the point?
