Hemmings Motor News Blog

Hemmings Motor News has been around since 1954. We're proud of our heritage, but we're also more than the Hemmings full of classifieds that your father subscribed to. Aside from new editorial content every month in Hemmings, we have three monthly magazines: Hemmings Muscle Machines, Hemmings Classic Car and Hemmings Sports and Exotic Car.

While our editors traverse the country to find the best content for those magazines, we find other oddities related to the old-car hobby that we really had no place for - until now. With this blog, we're giving you a behind-the-scenes look at what we see and what we do during the course of putting out some of the finest automotive magazines you'll ever read.

Cool Cars: 1948 Diamond T Pickup Truck

Posted December 15, 2009 12:01 AM by dstrohl

Even among odd rods, you don't see too many big trucks modified in the street rod style. If you do, normally they remain haulers for dragging around a more traditional car-based street rod. Which is why this 1948 Diamond T currently on Hemmings.com tickles our funny bone. Sure, it's got the standard small-block Chevy V-8 and many other "700 Club" touches, but it appears well done. Plus, it's a Diamond T! Offered for $39,500 out of Texarkana, Texas. From the seller's description . . .

I consider this blog a terrific failure.

Of stuff presented on CR4, it really bugs me.

"Read the whole article.", is an insult.

"Read the whole article." is impossible unless you have the eyes of a fly, and put on magnification glasses or do what Garthh, once recommended.

I don't have time, nor the inclination to work so hard to read this.

Years have gone by and more than I have complained about it.

We're Hemmings and We're Proud!

We're so proud of what we have done - that you are supposed to spend inordinate amounts of time blowing up our text that comes from old mags that we present to you in a manner impossible to read unless you have the vision of some creature unknown to exist.

If Hemmings has no staff, and will not stop proffering teases that lead to unreadable miniscule presentations, I beg that no longer do they even suggest I, or anybody else, "Read the Whole Article."

Must be problem on your end of things. The text is the exact same size on the Read the whole article as it is on CR4 when I used the link.

I'll try going in through Firefox instead of Safari.

I believe DKwarner suggested that to me. When I do that though, I do not get full screen coverage, which is sort of annoying, though I do get a toolbar.

I always wondered how others got to use those emoticons.

Awhile back Garthh indicated he had a similar problem, and that you had to perform some extra step to achieve readability so I was under the impression I was not the only one.

Hey, glad you don't have the problem.
