Will Healthcare Promote a Paperless Path?

Posted December 29, 2009 8:14 AM

For any Congress person that has actually read the U.S. Healthcare Reform Bill in its entirety, they are well-aware of the various information technology provisions in the Bill. While the desire for a paperless society has been long discussed, many believe using wireless technology to remotely monitor a patient's condition will improve care and result in fewer trips to the doctor. Others believe remote monitoring won't discourage doctor visit or promote patient drug dosing compliance. Do you think that wireless technology can change the face of healthcare in America and even globally?

The main problem with this story is that there isn't anybody who has read the whole bill except Harry Reid.

At many health care centers a problem exists which only training will overcome. The problem isn't that wireless or paperless processes aren't in place it's that the supervisors don't understand technology so it's not used or not used efficiently.
