The North American International Auto Show

Posted January 11, 2010 10:57 AM by CarDomain

Yesterday, CarDomain flew out to Detroit to attend the North American International Auto Show. We'll be talking to folks at GM, Ford, Chrysler and VW, and (of course) reporting on everything cool we find at the show. I had a blast last year and I'm looking forward to going to the Designer Night party again this year.

So is there anything in particular you CR4ers want me to ask about or report on? My buddies at Moparts already loaded me up with a ton of questions about the Challenger. We've also set up meetings with a bunch of the Mustang designers and engineers, and will be posting plenty of pics in the CarDomain Events section. There will be a ton of video, too.

Thanks, Rob. It's great to have CarDomain as a CR4 content partner, especially at times like this. Personally, I'm really looking forward to reading what the Mustang engineers and designers have to say.

I would like to know the response from Car Designers from top companies regarding their comments for small car "Nano" introduced in India by Tata group. Nano is already launched in India and I had checked up with some of the users regarding performance of the car. All of them are happy with performance of the Nano. They have been driving this car mostly in the city limits not on the freeways as this car is basically city car.Tatas are developing export version of the Nano and will introduce the same within two years. Export model will meet local technical requirements.

I'd be interested in current development of fuel cells, hydrogen fueled engines and plug-in electrics. What do the current hybrid engineers do to prevent shorting out of the massive batteries from all the salt used in northern U. S. roads? Are there any current available trickle-solar chargers for the large batteries?
