Posted March 04, 2010 9:19 AM

From mental_floss Blog:

Not to, er, sound a note of alarm or anything, but you'll notice roosters are nowhere to be found on this list. That's because roosters will (and do) 'cock a doodle doo all night long, if they're awake. Trust me. I know this to be true after spending a long, sleepless night at a small inn on a small Greek island in the middle of a brutally cold winter.

You missed an even more obvious one.

A cat or 4 that like to be feed at the same time every morning weather its your day off or not. I never sleep past 4 am (my normal time on work days to get up) or I end up with 4 cats climbing on me until I get up and feed them.

It's really funny to have someone stay at the house to keep an eye on the house when I need to go out of town for any length of time. I usually remember to warn them but most ignore the warning. And if you lock them out of the room they just start howling.
