I'm not surprised with;

(some excerpts from the article)

The BBC reports that 'the internet' is among a record 237 individuals and organizations nominated, up from even last year's all-time high of 205.

A good chance next year even more....

"The internet can be considered the first weapon of mass construction,

And a WMD....but not the first...only new

And compared with the actual past winners.....the internet should be in the running for the peace prize even when it was used as a source for bomb making material, coordinating and financing terrorist strikes, Atleast this time this candidate actually had some history of what it did.

Others believed to be in the running are Russian human rights activist Svetlana Gannushkina and Chinese activist Liu Xiaobo,

Wonder if these were candidates last year also?

Al Gore would be happy to accept the prize. or maybe Obama......or maybe Ronald McDonald. I like his Ronald McDonald House, I do not know why he wasn't nominated. Or maybe Peter Griffin
