Despite no definitive link between cellphones and cancer, recent legislation calls for sellers of mobile phones to inform users what level of radio frequency energy they are exposed to. According to the FCC, any specific absorption rate (SAR) ≤ 1.6 W/kg of body weight is considered safe. Nevertheless, San Francisco passed the Cell Phone Right-to-Know Ordinance.
