How T9 Predictive Text Input Changed Mobile Phones

Posted September 24, 2010 8:31 AM

Re: How T9 Predictive Text Input Changed Mobile Phones

Having owned a number of Sony Ericsson phones, the first thing I do with a new phone after turning it on and before I do anything else like putting in names, numbers and addresses, ring tones, themes, is disable T9 as permanently as possible. If there was anything that caused me a level of frustration such to push my blood pressure beyond tested limits(280/260) it was the T9 feature. What an immense and total waste of humanity that is.

T9 beats, computer driven automatic gearboxes and the women in my life, to mistakenly guess what I think or want to do.

Maybe the women in my life can actually beat the T9 for faulty intuition but only sometimes. T9 will do it all the time.

As far as I'm concerned T9 is unnecessary firmware ballast in the cramped memory space on my phone.
