Next time you want to indulge your superhero fantasies,
consider replacing traditional, gun-powered grappling hooks with the latest
pneumatic-powered ones. Battelle's latest Tactical Air Initiated Launch (TAIL)
system features a titanium grappling hook with Kevlar line that can fire 100
feet high and 60 feet away using compressed air technology. Using pneumatic
power eliminates the loud firing sound heard in gun-powered hooks, increasing
stealth.
If grappling hooks are not your thing, the TAIL system can
also be used to fire-off anything that can fit into its barrel.
