Frost heaving has been known to make normal structures look like that given enough time too.

A true work of art by a master craftsman. The people involved in this would have learned a few tricks of the trade in building it. Respect, Ky.

I found it amazing that near the top of the Gaudi Cathedral (20 years ago) the same level of interesting detail was maintained even though the pigeons were probably going to be the only ones to appreciate it. That is proabably why it took so long to complete.
