US Army Tents are Going Solar to Support Increased Gadget Use

With a big chunk of our military out in places where the sun beats down all day, it makes perfect sense to harness some of that solar energy. To do this, the US Army is about to introduce three different solar panel systems for field use with their tents.

On initial glance I like it. BUT...

I tend to disagree with the increased "devicification" of our troops. Yes, they can often be great for entertainment during down time. But actual combat-related use seems to me as introducing as many problems as it may solve.
