There is no need for the batteries to improve.
What is needed is the removal of all the unecessary gizmos like hi def full coulour screens. If you want a 'phone' then you don't need all the other battery eating exraneous crap.

Phone defined as conversation from a distance. If one stick to the phone defination today's betteries are near "PERFECT".
