British Inventor's Spectacles Revolution for Africa

From The Guardian:

A British atomic physicist is liaising with the World Bank on a revolutionary project to distribute spectacles to 200 million children in developing countries. Users will be able to adjust the glasses to their own personal prescription without help from an optician.

The idea is great. These glasses could be a tool useful in many applications where one might need a magnifying glass to see the intricacies involved. Perhaps even for reading labels. A great tool for the toolbox. Yes, it will also be of great benefit to those children with poor eyesight and little alternatives. The adjustability is good for a long time as long as the lens are maintained.Kudos to Joshua Silver.
