I do too Del, as I never can find my bullets down range after I fire my rifle....that I just find lots and lots of spent brass 5.56 mm cartridges laying on the ground afterwards that I gotta pickup or else earn the wrath of the Range Bosses!!! LMAO

I wonder if they'll ever recover this craft after it plopped into the Pacific?

Probably nothing left at those velocities. The craft is designed to take a face dive into the Pacific in the case of loss of telemetry.

At mach 22 water has about as much give as grant.

I would expect that the intent is to leave nothing that could be used by any adversary if found.

It might still be afloat, on top of the plastic trash island....

Don't the military brats have enough toys already? How about we cut the Black Budget in half and call it good. How many millions just hit the drink?

Somewhere over 300 million if the press has the figures right.

That may be the total cost of the program and the space vehicle is probably a whole lot less than that, I suspect. Otherwise, that would be a ridiculous cost for a missile, even if it can strike at mach 22.

I guess at that velocity you don't need an actual warhead. ;-)
