Really?

Leaving out dysprosium and reducing the weight of the alternator allows the price of wind power to be reduced by 90%. I must rush out and buy some shares in that company.

Everyone else designing wind turbines must be really stupid or else it's not true.

A bunch of hucksters trying for a quick buck - or a bunch of backyard mechanics that have no idea of the science involved.

I wonder what the draw back is to self-excitation? This would eliminate the need for the permanent magnet.

Is that the "Worst Case Scenario?"

How does that compare to the "Worst Case Scenario" of other power production methods?

The pictures show mostly total loss generators. For comparisons we'll need also facts from "other" producers. I just wanted to show that also wind turbines are not fool proof.
