At some time or other this was always going to happen, as other big nations gain better economies, and better expertise, they will have a much better chance to be able to be as good, or better than the USA! This is inevitable, but it doesn't mean that the USA and the west will be left behind that much, after all, we all learn from each other, and there will come a day when all nations will co-operate in space travel!
