How Can 3D Chips Be Perfected?

Posted October 26, 2011 7:28 AM

There is much talk these days about how the foundation of semiconductor fabrication will be transformed over the next few years as multistory structures take center stage. What technology breakthroughs will facilitate the rise of multistory structures? How will the thermal and stacking issues impact the rise of such 3D IC structures?

The preceding article is a "sneak peek" from Electronic Components, a newsletter from GlobalSpec. To stay up-to-date and informed on industry trends, products, and technologies, subscribe to Electronic Components today.

I have wondered if the ancient gods didn't make an electronic city when they made Teotihuacan.

here is a model of the city... the city was made of stone... (crystalline structure) and having a basis in mathematics (sacred geometry)

perhaps this is a macro version of an integrated circuit, and points the way to advanced chip geometries?

remember Tesla said that the earth was a massive electrical capacitor.. so diurnal and lunar electrical energies would flow through any crystalline circuits on the surface.

salt water can act as conductors (which is also somewhat hinted for this city)

and there are some indications that pyramids were piezoelectric devices (amongst other things. (esp the great pyramid)

or.... it could just be cool architecture... completely unliveable and having virtually unuseable interior spaces.....
