THAT is a very cool image site.

In 1989 I lived in northern Montana. Late October of that year I was out in the woods at night, and the sky absolutely erupted in colors and patterns that mesmerized.

A vivid and active aurora is something to see, that's for sure.

I love the galleries at this site! Didn't hear about the aurora alert, not that it matters, it's always cloudy when there's any celestial event here. But one day, I will get to see this too.
