Energy harvesting (EH) is on track to become a $5.1 billion industry by 2018, according to WinterGreen Research. One of the fastest growing segments of EH is vibration energy harvesting, which involves harvesting energy from mechanical vibrations to power wireless sensors and low-power portable devices.
