Omega-3 Fatty Acids Could Prevent and Treat Nerve Damage

Research from Queen Mary, University of London suggests that omega-3 fatty acids, which are found in fish oil, have the potential to protect nerves from injury and help them to regenerate.

Also found in flax oil and hemp oil. Nerve damage is a complication of diabetes, too. Alpha lipoic acid has also been shown to alleviate peripheral neuropathy symptoms in diabetics and so may also help damage to nerves from other causes. Worth considering.
