How's Your Backyard Junkyard?

Posted March 02, 2012 9:00 AM by CarDomain

What does your personal junkyard look like? I need to keep mine under control due to some limited visibility to the neighbor's house. Luckily, I can have a pretty big spread with the some clever fence placement and staging. How about your house? How big of a boneyard can you have before it gets you in hot water with the neighbors or the town?

The backhoe that I borrowed from my buddy is a little harder to hide. I'd like to get it out of there, but it has no brakes and is stuck in gear so it's kind of hard to drive and it's been derelict there all summer.

If I'm going to release that kind of information, I want to be featured on Hoarders...........................and get paid for it.

Ohhh, I've seen worse. Much worse. Just let the grass grow for a year or two and stop worrying about it.

There is a junkyard about a mile from my house. I refer to it as the 'overflow parking lot for the Willie Nelson concert.'

Those pictures hardly qualify as a junkyard.

Looks to me like a wannabe with a domineering wife.

We call them punks in NC.

I owned more "junk" than that when I was 14!

Where you at? I would be happy come get that old backhoe out of your yard!

Junk?... sorry, don't understand the word.
Oh you mean, 'material stock' and my 'resource bank' .
C'mon we all know, as soon as you throw it away, you need it the next day.
Actually in the UK, not many of us have gardens large enough to store such stuff...although my Daughters dead car is still out front.
The local fire brigade are asking for unwanted cars to practice their rescue proceedures on (cutting the tops off etc), but they don't collect

We call it a "boneyard" on this side of the pond. When you run out of financing, that's where you get the parts for your current/next project.
