Eat More, Move Less and Don't Gain Weight

Posted March 07, 2012 10:56 AM

From Gizmag Emerging Technology Magazine:

Unless you're a rodent, it's probably too early to get excited about the possibility of being able to eat all you want, be a couch potato and still not gain weight, but new research using a strain of specially-modified mice indicates that just such an unlikely scenario might one day be possible. Recently, a team of scientists from UC Irvine (UCI), Yale and Marche Polytechnic University in Ancona, Italy discovered they could bring this metabolic miracle about in the lab by blocking the actions of a marijuana-like compound that regulates energy metabolism.

I know obesity is a major problem, possibly even 'pandemic'. What on earth is this topic doing on CR4. Had it been phrased different, I might be interested.

The general topic has been discussed before on CR4. If me recalls, moose had pointed out current thinking that was weight size (I probably spealt that wrong) was more important than BSI. The articles he'd included, in an excellent write-up, included the simple measure of 'belt size' being a better indicator. Not the opinion of the reporter, but just detail on current thinking.

My 2 cents ? Be selective in foods, eat a variety, only eat when hungry, and enjoy a good sex life. <anybody finding how to do this , please mail me !>

It may be as simple as cutting sugar out of your diet.....easier said then done for some people, they seem to be addicted to sugar....

If you consume more than you burn , you gain weight.
