DHS Uses Wartime Mega-Camera to Watch Border

Posted April 02, 2012 8:29 AM

From Wired Top Stories:

One legacy of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars has arrived on the southern border of the United States. The Department of Homeland Security recently completed tests of a powerful camera, one that cut its teeth in the war zones, that captures video of entire miles of border in a single frame. DHS thinks mega-cameras on blimps and aerostats might be the future of border security -- if its analysts can only keep up with the glut of data they'll gather.

"cannot meet its original objective

The mental midgets will now pay another 1/2 billion to have it decommissioned,

probably by the smae thieves who duped us in the first place.

Hey!! You're starting to sound negative.

Sen. Joe Lieberman, an independent from Connecticut who chairs the Senate Committee on Homeland Security, said in a statement that the "long-troubled" program was "unrealistic," and called the department's new plan a "far wiser approach."

It does make you wonder why it costs a billion dollars to reach the conclusion that a project is unrealistic. And they turn right around tell us to trust them, they've now got it figured out. As person that will work most of my career to reach 1 million total after taxes, maybe..................a billion is a lot of money. I can't even comprehend a trillion.
