Army Late Delivering Body Armor

ARLINGTON, Va.-- The Army is late in delivering newer, lighter body armor to soldiers downrange. In April, an official with Program Executive Officer Soldier (PEO Soldier) said that soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan would begin to receive the Improved Outer Tactical Vests that month. "The Army will begin fielding the IOTV April 07 as directed by [Headquarters, Department of the Army/ Army Central Command]," said Steven Pinter in an e-mailed response to questions to Stars and Stripes last month.

Hi; God bless the Army and all our women and men who serve to defend the cause at hand, and god bless the new body armor for being on the job. May the contractor rest well at night and Our commander and chef as well. Mr X

That is amazing!! With all the taxes we pay and all the money we have spent on these wars we cant even get our soldiers bulletproof jackets? Thats just not right. Makes me wonder how are leadership really is?
