Maybe so. The Irish economy is in real trouble these days (for too long, too much of their 'growth' was simply based on 'growth') so maybe some common sense - and a common sense of desperation - will allow them to work together to make this happen.

I don't know about that. Maybe it's my imagination, but from the outside looking in, it's looking like all of Europe is entering an, "every man for himself", mode. Boycotting fossil fuel, works great................until there's no food on the table.

My bigger concern, is that oil equals money. I hope it doesn't touch off any further bloody conflicts over there. Not holding my breath though.

No, the wealth will smoothe the situation and as long as there is food on the table and the house is warm they will be finer than they are now.
