Just proves that there aren't as many fools out there as they thought.

It appears to be a two-fold reason.

1. Overall PC sales are declining.
2. Macs market share has been increasing compared to PC sales.

Curse Mac and their darned user friendly applications and designs. Microsoft can never compete with that no matter how much code they toss at it!

Buggy whips are faring nearly as well this Christmas Season, even with the much-anticipated carbon fiber handles. Something to do with the intro of 'horseless carriages'.

Nah.

The Buggy Whip (any horse will tell you that is a misnomer) collapse was a failure of marketing...

....they should have simply rebranded the product as something like a 'horseless whip', or a 'traffic whip'

Every experienced driver can think of a time or two they would have been very happy to motivate or correct other drivers....with a 'traffic whip'.

If widely adopted, I bet it would lead to more conscientious driving.....and after a century of unemployment, we can finally get those Buggy Whip makers back to work .

Apparently Moore's Law doesn't apply to people.

Dummies don't double every 18 months. Go figure.

You are right. Doubling time for dummies globally is about 60 years.

.

Unfortunately, rapid increases in productivity have resulted in a much shorter doubling rate for total dumbness.

Dumb is being introduced to the world today at a higher rate than anytime in history.

The way I heard it was:

1) The TOTAL amount of intelligence in the world is a constant.

2) The population is growing.

That is because MS Win8 is a POS! Ditto w/ Vista. Microsoft just couldn't leave things alone could they, and had to tinker with the code just for the sake of making more sales?

I have in on my newly built PC and I hate it....rather stick with XP instead!

If Microsoft force feeds it to our children via the U.S. school system, it will help boost sales in the future.

Gee, I wasn't aware that any version of a MS OS ever increased PC sales.

Well, the very first one had to have increased sales...

.

I can't speak for any subsequent versions, unless we are talking about cumulative sales, instead of sales rate.

Is it maybe not designed for PC? Does it support touch screen? Is it rather for PAD's or tablos or however this is called?

Question is will it boost other sales?

The last version I bought was win 3.11. That came with a PC.

Had to install DOS first.

Looong time ago! Must have been the time of PC back then.
