I love this photo of the USS John C. Stennis nuclear supercarrier. It looks like a tiny model thanks to the F-18's exhaust fumes, which distort the air above part of the deck and turns the image into a bit of a tilt-shift photo.

Do you have to get really small, too to see the effect?

I remember once when my brother got high and flew up and landed on the wind mill.

I had to toke up and fly up there and talk him down.

Another gem from Gizdorko. The real thing here is using a telephoto lens from a long distance flattens the image. For the life of me, I can't see how this is an analogy to tilt-shift. Keep smoking the good stuff.
