And we focus so much attention on "Possible Terrorists"---The Earth and the Universe have many more ways to torture the Human Race.

Not sure what world you live in but the possible terrorists are real ones!

So do not compare what mother nature has in it for us with what we have for ourselves.

There is no excuse for terror.

When the top blows.. we will fondly remember what we now consider "crazy weather"... in exchange for what could be accurately described as "psycho weather". No kidding aside.. it will be a mass killing/extinction. What have we done in terms off collective thinking to try and lessen this impending blow? Could old faithful be a means and location to.place the mother of all pressure relief valves? One of many? ..We focus on space rocks quite enough (cough.. Russia..cough who saw it coming cough) while we have what's amounting to a much larger problem right beneath our feet. ..power the world for a thousand years with that?! Volcano.. is this greenest of abundant energy really too impossible or dangerous to exploit for our benefit and longevity.. ..oh.. wait.. nobody could get the permits and such since it's national parkland.. my bad. :P

Agree with that, BUT No worries--The Drones will find them, and we will be safe again. Also, look at the budgets of the TSA and Homeland Security, and see how they compare with Scientific funding. I would actually rather know if we have a possible earthquake or eruption coming, that could impact hundreds of thousands of people, or more, than a random act of violence, like Boston, that even with all of our screenings, survellience, and data bases, we have not been able to contain. People are just as unpredictable as the Natural forces they live within. Every time something happens, we are forced to "DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT", pass another gadzillion Laws etc. Makes the Politicos look important, and gets them re-elected. I say we pass a law against Earthquakes and resulting Tsunamis. There--Done.
