Sometimes the only options are assassination or departure. Unfortunately, the legal system frowns on the former.

Indeed true. However, usually only in larger organizations does one have the opportunity to try something "different" only because there is likely more than one "decision" maker to evaluate. Unfortunately,, in medium or small organizations, it is not usually possible to branch out the ideas.

Been there, done that, no longer there.
