It'd be hard to say what's the best gift I ever gave. Perhaps the best gift I've ever received was a top of the line camera I'd been wanting, and I had no idea my wife had gotten it for me.

I saw this a few days ago and it looks like a great gift for techno-geeks who live where there is a lot of snow. It's a multi-level hand warmer, phone re-charger, and a red/white flashlight that has an S-O-S mode. Costs around $50 US. It's from the telescope company Celestron, and it's called the FireCel.

The one's from Sony really do catch on fire. Handy when you find yourself in a combat situation.

My Chrono' for measuring arrow speed is one of my fave's.

I have a hard time thinking of something to want these days, a few tools, maybe a laser range finder for measuring how far I can shoot an arrow. I'm going to make a flight bow some time (English Longbow category).

I bet there will be a lot of broken quad copters by boxing day!

As a kid, my first Red Ryder BB gun at 8 years old. As an adult, the gifts I gave myself. Nobody else can buy gifts for an engineer. They can't think that weird.

This really is true. What appeals to engineers is stuff that most peeps don't even know exists, much less where to buy it.

Just give me money. I'll take care of the details.

Good point!
