Ah, Phoenix is keeping up with the UK and developing Council Estates. They need to squeeze them closer together, as that is wasted space between them. And that my good fellow, will not do at all.

After looking at a million shipping container homes, I started to suspect it was not shipping containers. I changed my search parameters and ended up with "stackable prefab modular homes". The picture of it at night was on one of those pages.

It looks like what would happen if the original (Canadian?) ''Habitat'' had babies...

As JPool figured out, this week’s building was not a building made of shipping containers, instead it was Finch Buildings’ FabCity in Amsterdam. Built in 2016, FabCity was the first building built by Finch Buildings. The construction followed the 2015 debut of their prototype at the Circular Expo in Hoofddorp. The goal of Finch Buildings was to develop and design “modular buildings that can adapt to the environment and the circumstances.” In fact, each of the Finch modules are “permanent but portable” allowing them to better adjust their functionality. At this point in time, Finch modules are only available for bulk purchase.
