Updated: Guess the Architecture 9/10/2019

Posted September 17, 2019 2:00 PM by MaggieMc

I was quite surprised that no one was able to guess last week’s building since it was the work of a rather famous architect. The colored doors helped put me in the right frame of mind, so perhaps they’ll help you out as well.

P.S. There are five units, and the one on the left that you can’t see has a yellow door.

Can you guess this week's building?

Shearer's quarters in outback Australia, then again not since they are required to have a 6' verandah to keep the snakes out.

Architects design for strata title units before being forwarded to the planning office, the environment department, health and sanitation, public use think tank, etc, etc.

Sadly it was failed for having too many loop holes.

Looks like a row of classrooms in a school building in the Bahamas.

I thought this was supposed to be a guess the architecture rather than a caption this.

Ok, it may well be the work of a famous architect, but in the definition of nondescript, this building figured prominently.

The building for 9/10 was Le Corbusier's camping units in Roquebrune-Ca-Martin, France. The units are located on the same property as the architect's personal retreat.

French would not have been my first guess. Maggie, you stumped the band.

But a few folks intimated a camping setting.

Thats where the guys overseas have it from. I am sure!

French camping seems at odds with what camping is about.
