Cab Insulation for Heavy Equipment

Posted March 02, 2019 3:05 PM by Doug Sharpe

Cab insulation for heavy equipment absorbs engine noise and provides a finished appearance to the interior of the cab or cabin where the operator or driver sits. Examples include headliners, door panels and side panels for farm, forestry, mining, and construction equipment. Cab insulation is cut from perforated vinyl foams and applied with adhesives. Depending on the amount of noise, these acoustic foams are usually 1/2” (0.0127 mm) or 1” (0.0254 mm) thick. They’re available in different colors, too.
