Five Chinese automakers plan to exhibit vehicles at the North American International Auto Show in January, more than twice as many as in past years, the event's organizers said Thursday.
Geely International Corp., a fast-growing, privately owned automaker, is making a return visit to the Detroit show, as is Changfeng Motor Group.
China America Cooperative Automotive Inc. (Chamco), a Parsippany, N.J.-based venture planning to import Chinese cars, has previously shown sedans in Detroit but not at the show.
