Network Traffic Management Green Lighted

Posted November 30, 2007 8:19 AM

Change is a constant with networking technology. Transmission media, architectures, end-user devices — the very data networks carry — are continually evolving, as capabilities and demand push the envelope. Today, networks are on the cusp of a fundamental change: the introduction of a new traffic management model. Increased availability of IP networks, enhanced capabilities of mobile devices, and the rise of social networking and collaboration make the current network-centric model ineffective. This EETimes article explains the evolution of a new model in which user devices become intelligent participants that share the responsibilities of network traffic management. Are you ready for a new network approach?

The preceding article is a "sneak peek" from Networking & Communications, a newsletter from GlobalSpec. To stay up-to-date and informed on industry trends, products, and technologies, subscribe to Networking & Communications today.

AAARRRGGGHHH. CLASSIC BAD JOURNALISM

THIS IDIOTIC BADLY WRITTEN RUBBISH APPEARS TO HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH 'TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT' IN THE SENSE IMPLIED BY THE PICTURE OF TRAFFIC LIGHTS.

WHY HAVE A PICTURE OF TRAFFIC LIGHTS ???????????????????????

calm calm....maybe I'm too impatient to read through it all.... maybe I'm wrong?

Maybe they wanted to grab our attention? Maybe they wanted to put a bikini clad woman as the picture but though it was too un PC

Why do they want to make people who are completely uninterested in the topic read the damn article????

Not only that, the article could have two out of every 3 words removed...and still be too long...I'm not sure it actually says anything.

(Arrrrghhhhh)n

Really grumpy Del
