Tiny Hand, Not-So-Tiny Tasks

The robotic microhand has four fingers, yet measures one millimeter wide when clenched into a fist. Manufactured using conventional semiconductor techniques, it has bones of silicon and balloons for joints. Microhand may be tiny, but it is extremely dexterous. If used in surgery, for example, it could grab a single nerve bundle. Watch the video.
