Balls of Flame in Microgravity

Candle flame in (L) normal and (M) low gravity. Floating flame balls in microgravity (R) What does a candle flame look like in microgravity? In 2002, NASA did the experiment and found out that flames do strange things in low gravity, like break apart into tiny balls that move around like UFOs.

Funny this makes "todays Engineering News" as it is a 2002 article; enough so that, I was going to add it in CR4 Threads Topic "Its Time To Talk About Time"'s comments http://cr4.globalspec.com/thread/14857/It-is-Time-to-Talk-about-Time or another time topic if I found one suitable.

In Fact, once you open the "Kelly old flame" (folder.1) you will see the comments on the loss of the crew and Columbia STS-107 along with the crew sentiments about this experiment of fire that offer perspectives of a different type of gravity.

The surprising thing to me is, as amazed as "man" is of his draw to fire, that with as many spectators and technicians, any all of supporting or inquisitive, that for me , i found i was:
