Euro SEMA: VW Passat R36 Stands To Wow at Essen

I hope VW seriously considers this but I'm sure Audi won't let it happen

Audi is owned by VW

I know - but Audi is still its own company, just a VW brand. VW AG won't promote a car which competes directly with the market segment of one of its other brands. I think an argument could be made R36 is in competition with other Audi Touring models. I guess we will see..(Crosses fingers)

Now if only this will reach the American shores, I'm sure a lot of peeps here will be delighted. The very noticeable resemblance of the Passat R36 to the Golf R32 is not at all bothering.
