Too Little Too Late?

The organizers of ITMA Asia + CITME took tough measures at last month's textile machinery Expo in Shanghai to crack down on counterfeit machinery and components. Such disregard for patent and intellectual property rights has long been a sore spot for manufacturers. But do these efforts come too late?

This practice has gone on for too long! It affects US and european firms alike, from viewing cabinets to knitting machines to weaving looms to dyeing machines. The main problem is poor quality merchandise causes loss of sales to good quality suppliers which will affect developement of new machinery. The poor quality knock off equipment stifles developement, these manufacturers can only copy, not innovate
