Build Your Own Universe

Posted December 04, 2006 3:28 PM

From NPR Topics: Space:

Physicists agree, one day it may be possible for a person to create a universe. It won't happen tomorrow, but the idea is in the works. There's already one problem with the idea: If a universe is created, physicists say they wouldn't know how to communicate with it.

The article says "There's already one problem with the idea: If a universe is created, physicists say they wouldn't know how to communicate with it."

Really? Thats the only potential problem we can anticipate? Lets pretend for a second that there is the smallest amount of scientific research to support this conjecture, which there definitely isn't, but what the article is saying is that if we create a universe in the future, we would be unable to talk with it with our EXISTING technology. That's brilliant. Let me try one:

There is a chance that in the future I will win the lottery and have millions. The only problem is, I don't own a truck, so how will I move the money around?

Judging by a couple of posts I've seen here lately, I'd say some already have created their own universe. And yes, communication is a problem.

As for your lotto problem, you can always use quantum funds transfer. Or borrow my spaceship.

Object or masses are needed. Motion and energy is needed. But space? There seems to plenty of it between the ears of those on this thread. Do you understand the GRAVITY of what I'm suggesting?

Be careful, both the tricorder and the atomic sub are realities and both originated in science fiction. The name of our first "space ship" also originated in Star Trek. In fact, science has been taking ideas from SF for quite a while now. Someone said "our ability to create is only limited by our ability to imagine". BTW, the tricorder I mentioned uses x-ray spectrafloresence, which is some pretty high engineering.

So, if one did create a new universe, no-one in this one could know about it. If they did know about it, then it wouldn't exist on its own - it would be a part of this one. Therefore it may have happened already and it cannot be detected.

Pick the bones out of that...

This is great if humanity can build there own universe then we can conclude that we are GOD, and the only supreme being is the one that can continue to expand there mind. An end to the madness of acceptance without truth, of fact, or reason.

god bless

if a universe was created it would not only create space but also use it up and would "distort" tha "mass" of space.
