A new bullet-tagging technology being developed in the UK could give forensic teams a robust new tool in the fight against gun crime. The breakthrough has been achieved by a multidisciplinary team from Brighton, Brunel, Cranfield, Surrey and York universities, with funding from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC). Project partners include the Forensic Science Service, BAE Systems and coatings manufacturer Andura.

That's all well and good, but the cost of this will be burdened on law-abiding gun owners, and easily thwarted with a 10 cent pair of surgical gloves.

That's not going to upset this guy.

Remember to wear cotton gloves and coveralls, then burn those and pour the ash from a bridge into a fast-moving river afterwards.
