The Worst Possible Thing That Could Happen to a Corvette

Posted November 05, 2008 5:00 AM by CarDomain

How's this for an identity crisis: a '57 Bel Air front clip with '59 Imapala fins, all squashed into a late-model Corvette roadster body. Everything on this bizarre "789" kit by N2A Motors screams "all wrong," but hey, it's somebody's idea of beautiful, and considering what I'm into, I'm not going to knock it. But sheesh, there's gotta be something better you could do with a perfectly good 'Vette.

What a waste of otherwise perfectly good fiberglas! Looks like miscegenation in an auto salvage yard...

I have to admit, the building quality of the machine is top notch. I think this car is quite attractive. Finally someone that has a little style. The problem is we don't share this anymore. Its an out of the box mentality. Style use to define an individual and you have to admit the person who built this definitely has it!!

They got something, all right! I guess if "style" = "individual expression", then they have it in spades...it's just not mine. I've often said it, there's no accounting for taste.

The longer you stare at it the better looking she becomes. I suspect that a couple of refreshments couldn't heart either.

I just looked at it again for a while, all views, and I don't think if I stared at it for a week straight dead drunk I'd really think it looked good, but that's me. If you like it, at least you are welcome to my share of it!

I would have thought the worst thing to do to a Vette would be to mistake it for a Thunderbird, but now I see the worst thing is to make a Vette look like a Thunderbird.

WOW. This car screams style, creativity and artistic body lines that makes this car stand out from all others in the lot or on the road. I can not say that for the current production from the American or Asian market which are bland and too similar in design. This does not look cheap like everything new on today's American or Asian make dealership lots (until you get to the window sticker).
