Meet Japan's Robot Ramen Chefs

Nagoya's FuA-Men (Fully Automated raMen) restaurant features two assembly line style chef and assistant robots that can dish out 80 bowls of noodles a day. Shop owner and robot manufacturer, Kenji Nagaya, told Reuters that the robots improve "the accuracy of timing in boiling noodles, precise movements in adding toppings and consistency of the taste and temperature of the soup." sure, they're efficient. but where are the customers? the video shows very few patrons in the restaurant. and where are the human chefs they displaced? :(

pretty steep price of progress to pay.

inventors should also take into account the effects their invention creates, and mitigates them.
