How the Humble Raindrop has Driven Flower Evolution

Posted August 06, 2009 8:26 AM

From BBC News | Science & Environment | UK Edition:

Or, alternatively, the Designer of the Universe really was as Intelligent as his reputation makes him out to be, with an infinitely creative mind full of ideas for even tiny little flowers with varied shapes and sizes, but all of them structured to protect their little pollen from the rain when necessary so that they didn't die-off in one generation and get turned into oil.

Naturally, a bunch of Chinese 'scientists' classifying the functions and advantages of various plant parts and shapes would assign credit to the flower itself, for "evolving itself" into some arbitrary way for a purpose it could never imagine. Almost as silly as claims that "chance" did such-and-such, by accident. Really?

Reminds me of one of my favorites:
Atheists rely just as much on faith in God as any Christian - but since they haven't yet met Jesus personally, they just call him "Chance."

Hi Sandman,

I like your comment. Concerning chance, here is a link that says Evolution is Biologically Impossible.
