Digital BBQ Tongs: For When Geeks Gas Up The Grill

Posted August 13, 2009 8:58 AM

From Gizmodo:

These trusty tongs have a built-in sensor that let you monitor your meat's internal temperature on its backlit LCD display. The neat part: they also alarm when your steak is ready, and double as an LED flashlight. Versalicious! The $39.98 stainless steel tongs have presets for seven types of meat (along with one custom setting), and require two AAA batteries. A perfect compliment to some of the grilling gizmos we've covered in the past, no?

A true geek would rather find a way to grill inside using electricity.

Yes that is really 30 USB ports wired in parallel, and is as practical as it looks.

heh, remember the old 1x4 wood frame & put a couple of 3 penny nails in the top, wire the old appliance cord to each & then cook-up some tasty hot dogs?

Grade School was cool!
