Without knowing the context, I would read that to mean whatever you are installing requires single phase power fed by a quantity of two fuses, each rated at 125 amperes.

You provide us so little information it is hard to say what you are doing. The sparse amount of information you do provide has me very worried about your safety. Anything that interrupts 125 amperes of current should be handled with caution.

Since his user name feels like something from India, he might not be that concerned about safety, due to the Hindu belief in reincarnation. In his mind, he's not risking total death, just the death of that body and another trip around the Karmic Wheel.

The more I see threads like this, the more I realize that many parts of the 'civilized world' are still scary, dangerous places, from an Engineering and Industrial Safety point of view.

Could that mean the fuse is rated for 2 amps at 125 volts?

Your correct that it is plausible our OP has posted a typographic error. However, this is not what our seemingly near eastern poster wrote. With line voltages for most of the world being above 125 VAC I think it is best to be very cautious here. Engineering is a discipline that deals with accurate details, speculating that a safety product has a different label seems dangerous.

Re: Fuse Rating

I am certain this is not what is meant but this is what is written:

(2X125 A)= 250 A

Please answer these questions;

  1. Where is this writing?
  2. Where is this fuse used?
  3. Did the fuse blow open?

And just generally filling in all the extra clues that will allow us to help you. If you only tell us the information you do not understand then it is very likely we won't understand it, too.

Perhaps a double pole fuse block with 2@125A fuses?

Is this the marking on the fuse cartridge itself or is it a note on a drawing?
