Mostly, yes, but why not ask Allen-Bradley or Rockwell Software?

  1. YES, if you know how to use it?
  2. Maybe you could post the REASON?
  3. Maybe you could give us a bit more information?
  4. Maybe you could NOT post ANONYMOUSLY and we would might be more inclined to give you a real answer?

I doubt it. If you had a valid license for the software you could contact Allen Bradley for support on this question. Since CR4 is not an Allen Bradley support site, this implies your software is not licensed.

Still, the best things in life are free.

No idea, try the Rockwell Automation website for an answer.

What is RSLogix 1000 software? There is RSLogix 5/500/5000 software which is all for different families of PLC's. i.e. If programming a Micrologix1000 you would use RSLogix500, you could not use RSLogix5 or 5000 as they are for a different family.

We've used RS Logix 500 and RS Logix 5000 here at work, but never the version you are asking about - tell me more about this 1000 version.

No such animal "RS Logix 1000"

RSLogix 500 or 5000 will.

Maybe a pirate version of 500?? They exist.

I actually heard a person (idiot) confess in a Rockwell RS 5000 class to having and using a pirate version of RS 500. Got his company in some hot water for sure.

There is no such animal as "RSLogix 1000". There are bogus websites out there attempting to sell you one, but all they do is download the FREE version of RSLogix Micro Starter Lite software that programs the MicroLogix 1000, and try to re-sell it to people as "RSLogix 1000"; it's a total scam.

RSLogix 500 is the software for programming all of the MicroLogix products. If you already have that, you don't need anything else.

If you are starting out and do not yet have software for a ML1000, and you are doing something simplistic so that you don't need all of the features, you can download RSLogix Micro Starter Lite for free from Rockwell.

Also, there is a difference now between a MicroLogix, and a Micro800, which is the newer Micro PLC being sold. If you have a Micro800, the software for that is free as well, but is called Connected Components Workbench. CCW is also used to program the PanelView Component HMIs that go with the micro800s, all of the VFDs, Safety Relays and some of the soft starters as well.
