Its stands for higher torque rating on the coupling.

Basically, manufacturer Lovejoy numbers represent the overall size of the coupling, and thus the size of which elastic element (can be various types) is inserted between the metallic parts. The elastic element is sized to accommodate the necessary torque; the mating parts are sized to fit the driver/driven shafts. I'm not sure the "95" actually means anything other than just generic size. See the catalog.

SW Type

  • A complete SW Type coupling is comprised of two standard L hubs (find under L Type components) & one snap wrap spider (this section) & snap ring (this section).

LC Type does not require a ring.
Note: Torque shown below is for a SW90 coupling. An SW95 coupling will have a higher torque rating of 194 in-lbs (21.92 Nm).

Dear Mr.yatin,

The coupling Manufacturers have their own way or principles to identify coupling which is known as NOMEN CLATURE. and provide a catalogue, and provide an identity.

This sort of identity will help to ask for spares.
